For Artists

We ask that all artists, and/or their agents, agree to specific conditions to participate in Lookart exhibits on- and off-line. The intent of these conditions is to hold Lookart, LLC and its exhibit site owners and their agents harmless for any damage to your artwork or personal injury at their temporary gallery sites. We further leave all responsibility and liability for delivery of purchased artwork with the artists and/or their agents.

Specifically, if you sell artwork through Lookart you agree to the following conditions:

  1. You must own the artwork and all of its rights;
  2. You will represent condition, size, materials and all other characteristics of the artwork as accurately as possible;
  3. You will properly pack and ship the artwork promptly to the buyer;
  4. You will try to resolve any issues with buyers promptly and courteously;
  5. You take sole responsibility for the sales transaction and satisfaction of the buyer and you will defend and hold Lookart, LLC harmless from any litigation or other legal action related to the sale of your artwork;
  6. When on-site at any Lookart temporary gallery site, you waive all liability of the owner or agents of the property for yourself or your artwork;
  7. You will promptly set-up and remove all of your artwork from Lookart exhibits according to the agreed schedule; and
  8. You understand that Lookart has no obligation to show or continue to show your work on its site or at its exhibits. Lookart can, without cause, remove your work and information from its site and your work from its exhibits.

For Buyers

All artwork sold through Lookart is the sole responsibility of the artist. Buyers agree that:

  1. When you pay for an artwork, you are entering into a contract with the artist, not Lookart. The artist holds full responsibility for the accuracy of the description and undamaged delivery of your purchase artwork;
  2. All sold artwork will not be shipped until the end of the exhibit; and
  3. Lookart has no responsibility whatsoever for the accuracy of the artist's description, the description of the artwork, delivery of purchased artwork, or any other aspect of the sale or fulfillment of sale. If there are any issues with the artwork or its delivery, you agree that it is a matter to be resolved between you and the artist and that you hold Lookart harmless.
